Allen, Texas -- The Cabot 8 & Under (pitching machine) Cal Ripken All Stars are the Cal Ripken Baseball Southwest Region Tournament Champions.  The team defeated the Jonesboro, AR All Stars (Arkansas North) in the finals of the tournament Wednesday, July 21 to claim the title.  

Cabot qualified for the regional tournament out of sixty Arkansas teams at the Arkansas South Cal Ripken State Tournament, held July 9-14 at the Sylvan Hills park in Sherwood, AR.  The regional tournament, held in Allen, Texas on July 16-21 included the Cal Ripken 8 & Under state champions of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas and other top pitching machine teams.  The Cabot team defeated three state title holders to bring the Cal Ripken Southwest Region trophy home to Arkansas.
