AN
OPEN LETTER FROM
ANITA MARTIN
2009 League President
To
all Coaches and Parents of CYBA:
As
the season winds down, I would like to take a moment to thank all of
you for what you have done and continue to do for your kids.
This past February, I lost my Mother and this caused me to do
a lot of thinking and I finally decided that
it was time to retire. As of July, 2009, I will have spent my ninth
year with the CYBA, my fifth year as President and this will be my
last. I have spent
sixteen years involved with baseball and have loved (and sometimes
dreaded) the seasons, but I always came back. Now that my boys are
22 and 16, it is time to step down and do more things with them and
my husband. I will still
be here until spring, 2010 to be in charge of the umpires and
scorekeepers and to help assist the Board Members in any way I can.
Coaches,
when I watch the kids play and watch you coach – I remember the
days of my kids playing and how fast it all went by.
I am thankful that you have chosen to coach in Cabot.
Parents,
remember, they do grow up and fast! Every day you have with them is
a blessing and a gift to cherish FOREVER!
I
leave knowing the league will be in good hands.
I have worked with some great people this year and I know
they will take care of business in seasons to come.
Thank
you so much for everything!
Play Ball!
